After School Care

My name is Ms. Jesenia, I am the Program Coordinator for the CARES Expanded Learning Program.

Below my photo I have attached the Spanish and English Emergency Cards for the 2023-2024 school year. This is the registration form to enter your child in the CARES Expanded Learning Program. Note, that even with a filled out and turned in Emergency Card, your child will not be attending the program right away. There is always a waiting list. I recommend turning in the form as soon as possible, if you'd like your child to attend the first day of the program. Parents will receive a phone call informing them that their child has been accepted to the program.

Parents can find and turn in the 2023-2024 Emergency Cards in the main office or in the CARES Expanded Learning program office, located in room 22.

The program's first day for the 2023-2024 school year will begin on August 10th, after school release at 2:30pm-6:00pm. On Wednesdays the program hours are 1:20pm-6pm due to early release from school.

When filling out Emergency Contact keep in mind that students will not be released to anyone under the age of 18. We will be checking ID's daily to ensure students safety. Please write down anyone who would be picking up your child, there is no limit.

The CARES Expanded Learning Program has a precise Pick-up schedule. Please keep in mind that pick-up time begins at 5:45pm-6:00pm. Any pick-up after 6:00pm will result in a warning, after 3 warnings your child will be removed from the program. Failure to pick up your child in a timely manner may result in a call to the Sheriff's Department.

4th and 5th grade students may walk home but won't be released to go until 5:45pm. They are allowed to leave earlier if picked-up by anyone on their Emergency Card that is 18 years old and up. No students under 4th grade are allowed to walk home even with a guardian's consent, this includes younger siblings of 4th and 5th graders.

This program provides supper and a snack for each student daily, but feel free to send your child with a personal meal if they need to be accommodated due to allergies.

If you have any questions regarding the CARES Expanded Learning Program, feel free to contact me or the Program Coordinator Assistant, Ms. Lourdes, at (925)458-3261 ext. 6422 or in Room 22.

Thank You,

Jesenia Arzaga
