Hello super shark families,

I am Mr. Porter. Since the creation of Hero Sharks I have been entrusted with coordinating as well as hosting practice. The event at the end of training where our young men will each complete a 5k run. I have always maintained a great relationship with the schools administration and other faculty to maintain this program. I started out a Super Shark here at Shore Acres in the early 1990s. Since then went out into the world; joined the Marines and found myself back in Shore Acres in 2019 taking a course in Elementary Education.

Since 2019, I have met the requirements from Diablo Valley College in order to transfer to Cal State University East Bay and received a BA in Sociocultural Anthropology. Hero Sharks was created as an opportunity for our young men to become more active and challenging themselves on a mental and physical level. I hope to see some returning Hero Sharks and get to see some new Hero Sharks this school year.
