Attendance Policy

Regular attendance at school is vital for a student to be successful. Children are expected to be at school unless they are ill.  Please call the office at 458-3261 any time your child is absent. You may also send a signed note with your child explaining the absence. Illness and medical appointments are the only excused absences. We appreciate your efforts in having your child attend a portion of a day when full attendance is not possible.

Chronic absenteeism will be referred to the Student Attendance and Review Board (SARB).  We will work with parents to provide an independent study contract when a student must be absent for family trips.  Parents are responsible for their students’ completing these special assignments.
